VAJRASATTVA MANTRA (SHORT VERSION)

MENTAL PURIFICATION, HEALING, AND AN ENLIGHTENED MIND IN JUST 2:33

This is a video to bestow purification, healing, and an awakened mind upon the viewer. It is believed that simply seeing these images and hearing these sounds will have a positive and beneficial effect for anyone who so desires.

Vajrasattva is associated with a completely pure and awakened mind. His symbols: the thunderbolt (dorje) and the diamond. Vajrasattva consciousness is sometimes referred to as "diamond mind". He destroys ignorance, purifies the mind, grants absolution to the penitent, and brings healing.

In this video we hear HE Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche recite The Hundred-Syllable Mantra of Vajrasattva. The recitation of this prayer is considered very powerfully positive.

Here is the mantra. Each different Tibetan Buddhist tradition has its own slight variations upon this mantra. This is the version practiced by those initiated into the Nyingma Lineage, which is the oldest form of Buddhism practiced in Tibet. Tibetan is uppercase, with English translation lowercase below.

OM VAJRASATTVA SAMAYA
the most excellent exclamation of praise vajrasattva's samaya:

MANU PALAYA VAJRASATTVA
oh vajrasattva, protect the samaya

TENOPATISHTHA DREDHO ME BHAVA
may you remain firm in me

SUTO KHAYO ME BHAVA
grant me complete satisfaction

SUPO KHAYO ME BHAVA
grow within me

ANURAKTO ME BHAVA
be loving towards me

SARVA SIDDHI ME PRAYACHHA
grant me all the siddhis

SARVA KARMA SUCA ME
show me all the karmas

CITTAM SHRI ANG KURU
make my mind good, virtuous and auspicious

HUM
(the heart essence of vajrasattva)

HA HA HA HA
(the four stages of the path, the four joys and the four attainments)

HOH
(the exclamation of rejoicing at such an accomplishment)

BHAGAVAN SARVA TATHAGATA
oh blessed one who embodies all the vajra tathagatas

VAJRA MA ME MUNCA
do not abandon me

VAJRA BHAVA
grant me the realization of the vajra nature

MAHA SAMAYASATTVA AH
oh great samayasattva make me one with you
